2018 Mazda CX-9

Ever thought you got more than you paid for?  That feeling will come back quickly when you take a test drive in the new redesigned Mazda CX-9 with the friendly folks at Hixson Mazda of Alexandria located at 2506 MacArthur Drive or by calling the dealership at 318.448.0871 and take your expectations for a spin. 

The bet is on that you will probably think if not say: “Zoom-Zoom”.  Car critics are giving the new CX-9 thumbs up.  Car and Driver awarded the Mazda CX-9 its top award for the Best Midsize SUV for 2018. They commented: “Yea, fathers and mothers, there is one among the throng that can save us from drudgery of suburban life and we shall know it by the name Mazda CX-9.”  Yes indeed, this family mover excels as a fun to drive vehicle to work, deliver kids to school or visiting those big box stores. 

If you thought the CX-9's reworked new exterior was awesome, then you just might get that same feeling when you and yours slide into those wide and comfy seats and appreciate the soft touch materials in the upscale cabin.  This is where Mazda excels. The generous room for heads and legs will be appreciated by all sizes of humans.

For your communication and entertainment desires, the CX-9 comes with the highly rated Mazda Connect infotainment setup.  It uses both Bluetooth and cable based connections for Pandora or Aha along with two USB ports as well as an available rocking Bose audio with 12 speakers.  

Consumer Reports gave the CX-9 high grades in customer satisfaction and commented: “The ride is very comfortable and the cabin is commendably quiet.”  But just don't take anyone's word for it, do your own due diligence and take a CX-9 out for a spin and experience Mazda's SkyActic platform, MacPhearson struts, Mult-link rear suspension along with a bunch of added insulation.  You might think you are in a luxury SUV that costs thousands more. 

It just gets better to what is living under CX-9's handsome hood in the form of a lively 2.3-liter Turbocharged engine that punches out 250 horses and an awesome 310 lb-ft of asphalt grabbing torque.  That is pure “get-up and go” that peaks out at a low and efficient 2000 rpm.  This Turbo is mated to a smooth shifting six-speed automatic that can be had with standard front wheel drive or all-wheel drive for those who desire more confidence in their drivetimes.  Since this 3-row people hauler loves families, it is comforting to know that the Mazda CX-9 is one safe vehicle with a slew of safety features available with the i-Active Sense system from Mazda.  A very wise investment as you always have precious cargo on board.
